In 2008 East Publishing worked with Norwich Heritage Economic and Regeneration Trust (HEART), an innovative charitable company that promotes and conserves the city's heritage, to develop its Norwich 12 initiative. Norwich 12 is a group of a dozen iconic, city-centre buildings - spanning the Norman, medieval, Georgian, Victorian and modern eras - that together tell the fascinating story of the development of the English city over the last millennium. Once the group and its branding had been established, the challenge for East Publishing was to create a guidebook that would enthuse visitors, inspire local people and be a valuable educational tool for teachers. In 2009 the 64-page guidebook we researched and produced was named Best Factual Publication at the Creative East Awards and winner of the Guidebooks and Travel category at the East Anglian Book Awards. East Publishing and Norwich HEART's latest joint project is The Medieval Churches of the City of Norwich, a beautiful 160-page book published in April 2010.
