BACKGROUND: For over 50 years the Van Dal brand has specialised in stylish and comfortable shoes for the maturing woman. In recent years the range of designs has appealed to an increasingly younger market. The Works has been engaged to further invigorate the brand.
BRIEF: To counter the perception that the brand is staid, to promote the wide range and stylish appeal, to reassure the trade that Van Dal woman is younger-minded than her age implies and that she desires more stylish/more progressive products.
IDEA: Using a fresh style of photography, the task for both the trade and consumer marketing material is to convey the message: "You'll be surprised by Van Dal."
RESULTS: The new campaign was received well internally with great new interest generated at the first trade shoe fair. Projected sales for the Autumn/Winter range look extremely promising.
